Starting over in the middle of the season

Our softball season started over Wednesday night. Yes, we are about halfway through the season. No, we don't get to forget about the beginning. After the last game before Easter, our senior pitcher quit. That's all I am going to say about that.

Wednesday night was the first game that we played after the break. We were playing Ridge View. I don't remember ever playing them before so I didn't know what to expect. Krissy came in to pitch in relief after the forth inning. According to the paper she had no runs, 1 hit, 2 strike outs and no Walks. She was 1 for 1 at Bat. It was a really nice hit out to right field.
We won the game 3-2!
Last night we were facing Conway for the second time this year. The first time we played them was in Conway on March 14th. We lost 6-3, after leading 3 nothing in the 5th inning. David and I had to go to the ball field yesterday afternoon to hang a new outfield advertising sign and Krissy pulled me aside and told me that she was starting the game at pitcher. Honestly, she looked scared to death to me! I asked her after the game if she was nervous when she found out she was starting. (This was the first time she had started a game since she starting playing on the Varsity team, she had come on in relief before last night.) She says she wasn't nervous at that point, but did get a little nervous right before the game started.
She will say "Mom, you're so weird" when she sees that I have added these pictures. But, what am I for if not to embarrass my children?
These first two are just pictures of the team lining up on the first base line before the game.

This is Krissy's first pitch, in her first Varsity start. It was a STRIKE!

This is the first batter that Krissy faced in her first Varsity start. Krissy struck her out!

It was a great game. Krissy pitched 4 innings and then Carson came in in relief. She did an awesome job getting the save and we WON 5-3!
